Before it snowed

It has already snowed in my neck of the woods. I don’t like snow. It doesn’t matter how many years I’ve lived here I will never get used to the cold or the snow. I already miss my open toe shoes and being able to sit on my porch as I watch my kids play on the street.

Before this last snow we got a chance to drive up the canyon and see the pretty leaves. We picked a spot on the side of the road near a little stream and had a picnic. My son pretended to surf on the stream (and that’s just an idea on how my “beach” family rolls). The colors were beautiful, we even spotted a couple of deer not too far from us. The time together was PERFECT.

Fall is never long enough.

And one of my favorite moments of it all: Papi and his little girls:

  1. These pictures are lovely. And I'm totally with you on being anti-snow, lol. This will be our 2nd year in it ... and although it hasn't arrived for us just yet ... the thought of it makes me cringe, ha.

  10. Such cute photos! I think snow is gorgeous, but I hate the cold. I grew up in California/Arizona where it never snowed, so this is my second year living where it actually doe snow, so it hasn't lost it's awesomeness yet! lol

  18. These are great. I really wish we had a pretty fall here in Florida. The temps only drop a few degrees and we get no pretty colors. However, we don't get snow, so I guess it's a nice trade off.
