The truth behind embracing the camera

Facts:
1. It’s always about the kids first. But today I wanted it all about ME. I wanted ONE descent picture of all of us. Is that too much to ask?
2. I’m getting tired of always sharing the same family picture from our Mexican Vacation a year ago.
3. It took over a dozen tries.
4. The girls just jump at the chance of being models. They’ve been trained well. Even baby. We start them young. They are NOT the cause of my photo “affliction.”
5. Little stinker, who actually happens to be the MOST PHOTOGENIC of the family, wouldn’t cooperate. See below:

There was bribery involved. I don’t dare posting it publicly. But I got MY PICTURE:

Sometimes most of the time, Mami’s gotta do what she’s gotta do.

  1. Isn't that the reality of photos with children hey? We just had a family shoot the other day and we had to bribe my nephews with candy. My son cooperated like an angel, but he's only 4 months old!

  8. That's awesome. I use so much bribery that my kids ask to take photos now because they think there's gonna be candy involved.

  15. Getting a good family photo is so hard! I have 2 boys (6 & 2) and it's almost impossible to get them to hold still! I'm not above bribery either. :) Love the blog! Thanks for sharing!

  17. Your family is beautiful Vivian. My daughter is the same way she loves the camera and my son is the opposite, he runs away from the camera.

  18. Sadly it is usually my husband who isn't loving the picture taking process. Your darling boy is seriously adorable. Don't you love the fun of trying to get a family picture. Your family is beautiful!
